Bakehouse Cafe

Offering and extensive range of sandwhiches, cakes, pies, hot food and great coffee. Fast, friendly service. Ideal choice for the early morning traveller as the Bakehouse is open daily from 4:30am.

Dalton's Plantation

A unique experience at the Homestead Cafe, set in a distinctive garden setting. Open 9am-5pm daily (except Tuesdays in the off season). The Plantation specialises in weddings and private functions. Group bookings can be arranged combining Daltons Limited and Plantation Gardens with lunch or morning/afternoon tea included.

Eat. Urban Foodstuffs

Innovative fresh café food. Take away or relax with our wonderful staff. Great takeaway deli items, try our lamb shank and kumara pies, sushi, plus menu items. A selection of cheeses and handmade chocolates. Frappes, smoothies, great coffee. BYO. Open daily 7:30am - 4pm.

Espresso To Go

Matamata’s boutique Espresso Bar, for those passionate about coffee. Skilled Baristas and friendly staff serve exquisite coffee and scrumptious cookies. We sell retail packs of beans and other tempting treats to take home or for that special gift. Open from 7:30am week days, 9am-1pm Saturdays.

Hobbit Sushi

Come and enjoy our creative, delicious sushi. We use fresh rice, meat, seafood and vegetables.

Open daily Monday to Saturday from 9am.

Horse and Jockey Inn

Styled on an English Pub and offering English Gastro food and a wide selection of English beers. Ideal for family occasions with a menu to suit everybody, including Gluten free options. Kaimai Cheese Cafe

Waharoa 5km North of Matamata, on SH27. Relax and enjoy a great meal or snack, in the replica of an old historic 1920's Butter Factory. Easy parking - toilets.

Kaimai Cafe is  fully licenced and offers an extensive menu, Coffee and food to go. Sampel and purchase some of the Kaimai Cheese and Gourmet Items.
