ANNE de SILVA  Matamata Artist. Works from her Studio Gallery, which she opens on request.  There is always a display of  her paintings ready  for viewing.

Anne paints mainly in acrylics and in watercolours, but also does oils, pastels and drawings in pencil and ink.

She is an experienced tutor and teacher.

She is available to paint portraits, commissions and animals studies.

Her work includes illustrating books and book covers, and several large murals. One of her murals showing Matamatas` history can be seen on a wall opposite the Matamata post office.

Anne has gained numerous awards for her painting here and overseas, including a major portrait award in a London exhibition. She has held exhibitions throughout New Zealand, in Australia, Sri Lanka and England and has work in many private collections.
